KickBot moderation enables you to apply custom filters that allow you to moderate your Kick chat.

Getting Started

For this process you will need a KickBot account. If you do not already have a KickBot account navigate to kickbot.app and sign up. For more information, follow this guide on getting started.

To start, navigate to the "Moderation" page under "Chat Bot" in the left-hand navigation.

Moderation filters

Filters are the first line of defense for Kick chat moderation and can do everything from preventing spam to banning words and even preventing bots on Kick.

Any message that is caught by a moderation filter will be instantly deleted from chat (moderators and the streamer are immune).

The filters available are:

• Bad word: Deletes any message that contains a swear word from our preconfigured list.

• Repeated text: Deletes any message that contains obsessive repeated characters or words.

• Excessive caps: Deletes any message where more than 70% of the letters are capitalized.

• Zalgo: Deletes any message containing non standard text characters (often used to get around banned words).

Custom filters

Custom filters add that extra layer of moderation within your Kick chat.

The filters available are:

• Max length: The maximum length a message can be. Any messages longer than this will be deleted.

• Custom banned words: Any message containing any specified words will be deleted.

• Regex: Any message that matches a regex filter will be removed.

Moderation logs

Moderation logs show all of the moderation actions KickBot has performed. This can be helpful to see why a message was deleted and to debug potential configuration issues.
